The Belle Weather is a hurricane.

We are acoustic guitars, stories and melody.  We are the resonant, pounding beat of a kick drum, the deep pulse of a bass guitar, and the siren's wail of an over-driven tube amp.  We are open fields and skyscrapers, equal parts modern folk and indie rock, a fusion of inspired anthems, and the art of simple storytelling. Over the years, we've taken a great many influences and blended them into a sound that is uniquely our own.  We've built a reputation by approaching every stage we can find with a rare combination of gritty, sweat-drenched energy and honest, heart-felt sonic grace.  We love doing what we do and feel very fortunate to have a fan base that is as musically adventurous as we've always tried to be. We invite you to give us a listen, and promise to give you everything we've got.

Hailing from Tbilisi-Georgia, Nino Arobelidze moved to Chicago to integrate her multicultural and stylistic interests to shape her sound. Nino furthered her musical vocabulary, studying classical vocal performance at the DePaul University Music School, where she put together her first group, The Crossroads Project (the name being a nod to her native Tbilisi, known to link Asia to Europe via its trade routes). 

Nino's solo full-length release "NOMAD" (2014) established her as an artist to watch among numerous media outlets, both in the U.S. and abroad. "Jazz fans, R&B, hip-hop aficionados, EDM troubadours, genuine rock 'n' roll lovers and spoken word listeners all find themselves sitting appreciatively at the altar of 'NOMAD',” wrote Hannah Frank (OnAxis Music), while Tony Sarabia of WBEZ compared her voice to Billie Holiday's. 

Girl Named Nino is Nino Arobelidze's most recent project, with the forthcoming album tour kicking off in Madison, WI on April 2, 2016, featuring her band and various guest artists.
