Nique is a rapper who released his first mixtape, "Undiscovered," in the spring of 2012 on his 20th birthday. Shortly after, he began to work on the follow-up to that project, "Better Than Good Enough." He worked on the mixtape for 16 months before it was released in late September 2013. This project caught the attention of an upcoming independent record label called EnT Music Group, which he is currently signed to. Throughout the entire year of 2014, Nique was busy preparing his upcoming debut EP, "Great Expectations," which was released December 8th, 2014. Nique believes the EP is the soundtrack of his life and is excited to share the music he has been working on all year with the world.
For his performance at Transistor Nique performed more of his upbeat tempo songs with a fun, summer-like vibe.
Tony Famous (Kendall Delashment) is a Roseland, Chicago native who allows his creativity and storytelling ability to showcase his skills as a wordsmith. His love for writing and producing hip-hop music is a direct reflection of his past experience as a poet. His lyricism narrates the multi-faceted life of living in Chicago; his sharp lyrical observation focuses on the violence gripping his hometown, confidence in his musical passion, and life experiences as a college graduate. Never settling for recognition as just a great hip-hop artist, the Donda's House affiliate received his master's degree in interdisciplinary arts from Columbia College.
For his performance at Transistor Tony showcased his creative and honest storytelling of rapping over smooth hip-hop beats.
