Friday night live at Transistor: Max Abstrax and Frankenstein Earphone Radio. Sound by Jon Monteverde.

Max Davis, known to Chicago's underground electronic music scene as Max Abstrax is a music composer, producer, remixer, arranger, DJ and promoter. His passion is synth-based electronic music. 'Strange Disko' is the term he prefers to describe much of his sound, but his compositions reflect his many musical interests and experiences. For his Transistor set Max performed an Ableton laptop set he calls 'Transistor Suite 2013,' integrating live analog sounds from 'the small but hugely organic' Pocket Piano from Critter& Guitari.

Also available: a Max Abstrax Transistor performance from November 16, 2012.

Frankenstein Earphone Radio is native Chicagoan and artist Steven Fletcher, who offers this: The Patchwork Monster, named after his Doctor, Zapped into life on your Eyesight Television, Blasts out the Beats like Nuclear Fission! The Dope Jams are mainly about Monsters and Sex, the proper kind of voltage for your Cerebral Cortex, Lycanthropic tendencies, sentient plants provoking Dendrophilia, but this ain't Rock, and it just ain't Hip Hop, not IDM or Noise or Funk or Improvised or Post-Bop; it's an Aberrant Mess in Schizophrenic Stereo!

Also available: a previous Frankenstein Earphone Radio Transistor recording from May 10, 2013.
