Charlie Moon was created in 2014 by Aidan Eubanks as a moniker for some strange new work that was emerging at the time. After a cycle of misdirected music projects such as Moon River and Elephemera, he began experimenting with new ideas on the textural and rhythmic content of his previous work. Based on series of layered improvisations and composed sections, the new musical features range from the abandonment of meter in preference of contour to micrometrical cycles to ethereal drones, tempo gradation and so on.

His Transistor set consisted of three pieces interwoven with improvised ambient transitions.

Kevin & Hell is the orphaned love child of a rocky relationship between jazz and alternative rock. You might call it pariah jazz, you might call it weird, but you can’t say you’ve heard anything quite like it before. Come ready to shake, flail, and dance as this one-man act plays, sings and wiles out, backed up by his groovulous drum tracks.
