Friday night live at Transistor: Ryan Suzuka and Warren Buckler. Sound by Jon Monteverde. 

Although he frequently smiles, Ryan Suzuka sings sad songs on his ukulele. Some songs are happy, some are angry, but most are sad, though sad in a way that will make you smile, just like he does. Currently, Ryan fronts the band Blow Wind Blow on vocals, electric ukulele, and harmonica. Blow Wind Blow started performing live in the fall of 2013, and as of 2014 are working on their first record at Hinge Studios. Ryan can also be seen playing harmonica for Ty Maxon, Kelsey Wild, and a multitude of other performers.

An experimental singer/songwriter, Warren Buckler encompasses acoustic sounds while adding a touch of technology to his repertoire, manufacturing his own accompanying instrumentation with a synthetic sophistication. Self-taught on the guitar, one can appreciate the skills he manifests with his arrangements. His solo efforts captivate audiences with a creative construction, and exhibits a complicated performance of percussive bass lines, giving way delicately to soft melodic phrases and vocals. His music is influenced by artists such as Portishead, Jose Gonzalez and Radiohead. For this performance, Warren performed songs from his album 'Like That of the Coral.' It was an acoustic set with vocal and keyboard accompaniment by Kristen dela Serna.
