Special Sunday night event: shoegaze trio Laundry Sauce and singer-songwriter Katelynn Tomney. Sound by Jon Monteverde.
Laundry Sauce is a fresh Chicago-based band made up of old friends. They are a three-piece that specializes in dreamy, melodic shoegaze. Recently, they released their first single, "Let Go," and are currently preparing an EP that showcases their particular style of shoegaze. They will be playing a stripped down, intimate set at Transistor.
A native New Yorker, Katelynn Tomney moved to Chicago this past year. Her previously recorded EPs can be heard under the band name 4 black roses, and she is currently recording a full-length album in Chicago. Katelynn has been singing and playing piano since the age of 6, and picked up the guitar while studying music education at Hofstra University in New York. Last year, Katelynn taught music in Seoul, South Korea and was featured on the radio as well as on Jeju Island preforming with the house band. She is excited to be back in the States and pursuing her dream of creating and performing music! She will be playing a solo set at Transistor.
