Friday night live at Transistor: Simeon Peebler and Arte Projecto. Sound by Jon Monteverde. 

Simeon "Simon" Peebler is a folk-spirited songwriter based in Chicago. He has previously released two self-produced albums: "Missing Anchor" (2012) and "Follow the River Bend" (2011). He is working on his next album, "Fire and Steam," which continues his tradition of issues-based songwriting while infusing new technology to enhance the sonic experience. For his set at Transistor, Simeon will debut new songs under development for the new album, including an electronic-folk tune about drone warfare called "Executive Order." He will also perform his songs about Occupy, Trayvon Martin, Chelsea Manning and the Boston Marathon attack.

Arte Projeto is a vocal jazz duo with voice and acoustic guitar. They perform a repertoire that includes songs from legendary Brazilian songwriters Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luiz Bonfa, and others, as well as traditional jazz standards to a Latin rhythm.

Vocalist Dawn Rosales graduated with a B.A. degree in vocal performance from Columbia College Chicago. She mentored under esteemed vocalists from William Russo's Chicago Jazz Ensemble: Carol LoVerde, Bobbi Wilsyn and Laura Amend. After studying various styles of music, she found her voice with the sounds and rhythms of Brazilian music.

Guitarist William J. Dockrey, aka "Bossa Bill," played in a number of rock bands during the '70s and toured the upper Midwest. Later he studied classical guitar with Maria Sanchez from the Madrid Institute and later still with Julie Goldberg of North Park University in Chicago. Currently, he studies with the Brazilian master Paulinho Garcia. Bill performed solo classical guitar at various venues in Chicago prior to joining Arte Projeto.
